North West Premier to hand over 51 vehicles to provincial traffic authorities

North West Premier, Bushy Maape, is expected to hand over 51 vehicles to provincial traffic authorities in Mahikeng on Friday. This is aimed at increasing their visibility on the province’s roads. October is Transport Month in South African.

Maape will be accompanied by the MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari. Four vehicles will also be handed over to each district for the monitoring of learner transport.

“To intensify the efforts by government in maintaining law and order in various roads across the province by handing over more than fifty traffic vehicles to four districts of the province. This is in preparation for looming December festivities. These vehicles will also assist in handling law enforcement visibility in our roads as people will be travelling to various parts of the country to spend the December festivities with their loved ones,” says Spokesperson for the Premier, Sello Tatai.
