The Hawks have arrested nine suspects between the ages of 18 and 55 for manufacturing illicit drugs at a clandestine laboratory in Krugersdorp west of Johannesburg.
Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale says the arrested suspects will make their first appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Mogale says, “The members of the Serious Organised Crime Investigation team descended upon the dilapidated factory, where they found an assortment of methamphetamine-producing chemicals in large quantities. During the search of the premises, nine suspects, including two females, were apprehended. The investigation continues.”
