Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane’s contract will expire at the end of the season and he has been with the team for more than five years.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that he has not renewed his contract with the PSL Champions.

His contract will expire at the end of the season and he has been with the team for more than five years. He says the impasse is not about money.

Sundowns will play against Orlando Pirates in a crucial league encounter at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg Wednesday evening. Kick-off at 19:30.

Sundowns have not lost at Orlando in a long time. Mosimane says it will be an abnormal match.

Pirates assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena is not in the camp with his team at the moment. The club said that he is on leave, but Mosimane says he is in Europe on a coaching course.

Sundowns are battling for supremacy with the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, and they are regarded as one of the three big teams.

Chiefs and Pirates are coached by two Germans in Ernst Middendorp and Josef Zinnbauer. Mosimane says it is tough to compete against them.
