More than 20 people killed in Limpopo crash

More than 20 people have been confirmed dead in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the N1 between the Kranskop toll plaza and Nylplaza in Limpopo.

Earlier, it was reported that 14 people had been confirmed dead.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says a 22 seater minibus overturned and crashed into other vehicles. He says the stretch of the N1 where the crash happened has been closed.

Traffic authorities have advised motorists to use alternative routes.
