A body of a woman has been found at Ndaya Reserve in Umbumbulu, south of Durban. Social media posts had been circulating alleging that the body is that of Zinhle Muthwa who went missing on New Year’s Eve.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala, says the woman’s body was found on the side of the road with bruises.
“A case of murder is being investigated by Umbumbulu police, after an incident that took place on Wednesday morning where a body of a woman believed to be in her 20s was found at Ndaya Reserve in Umbumbulu. The victim has sustained head injuries as well as bruises all over her body. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated and we are appealing to very one who might have information about the suspects involved in the murder to contact their local police or out crime stop line on 0860010111.”
She was missing since New Year’s eve, she was picked up by a white car in her pijamas at about 9:30 pm in New Germany KZN. She is been found in eMbumbulu this morning brutally murdered. Her name is Zinhle Muthwa. pic.twitter.com/4aOnXl8i5G
