The mass funeral of 15 of the 19 people who died in a crash in the North West last weekend is expected to be held on Sunday morning. The crash happened on the road between Schweizer Reneke and Bloemhof.
One person was buried yesterday in Myra village in Taung. The other three will be buried in various places.
The funeral service will be held at the Ipelegeng Multipurpose Centre at 8 o’clock in the morning.
Premier of the North West Bushy Maape and Mayor of Mamusa Local Municipality Mita Chelechele, Members of the Executive Council and other dignitaries are expected to attend.
Seventeen of the deceased are from the same family.
They were attending a wedding anniversary when the vehicle they were being transported in collided with a truck.
Three people survived the accident and are still being treated in hospital.
