Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane says he’ll be submitting evidence to the Public Protector on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s non-disclosure of declaration of interests.
Public Protector Busisiwe Mkwebane is investigating whether Ramaphosa lied about a campaign donation received from African Global Operation, formerly known as Bosasa and has further widened her investigations to include allegations of money laundering.

Allegations levelled against Ramaphosa and his son, Andlie Ramaphosa around benefiting from controversial systems management company, Bosasa; are just some of the reasons that prompted Maimane and DA Gauteng Premier candidate, Solly Msimanga, to head to the country’s capital to demand the country’s number one to declare his interests since his election as the President of the Republic.

The Executive Ethics Code requires the President to disclose the particulars of all his financial interests to the Secretary of Cabinet, Dr Cassius Lubisi, once a year.
The Public Protector will release her findings on President Ramaphosa post the May elections.

Meanwhile, the DA says it will fight the Electoral Court’s decision that party apologies to GOOD Party leader, Patricia De Lille.
