The registration of delegates for the ANC Limpopo Provincial General Council (PGC) is underway in Polokwane.
The Council is to announce the province’s preferred presidential candidate.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma are the front-runners.
The delegates from branches from the five regions of the ANC in Limpopo have started trickling in.
Deputy Secretary General Jessie Duarte is expected to address about six hundred delegates during the PGC.
The party’s provincial secretary Nocks Seabi says the PGC will also finalise the province’s contributions to amendments of the party’s Constitution and policy matters ahead of the national elective conference.
Security is tight in and around the venue.
