Lesufi defends Nas’Ispani recruitment programme

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has defended all the job opportunities provided through Nas’Ispani recruitment programme in the province, saying they are sustainable.

Lesufi has extended the contracts of over 30 000 Gauteng Youth Brigades who will work as Education Assistants, General School Assistants, and Early Childhood Development Assistants in Gauteng schools.

He says their mission is to ensure that young people get job opportunities.

“More than 20 000 of them are here to collect employment letters. So that they can go and work for their families rather than living on handouts and food parcels. We’ve hired people to fight crime, some will install solar panels; all these programs are sustainable.”

“It’s just that our enemies they don’t want to dig deeper and understand what we are trying to do,” explains Lesufi.
