Kathrada Foundation welcomes state capture commission

The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation says they welcome the announcement by President Jacob Zuma on the establishment of the judicial commission of inquiry into state capture.

The foundation’s Executive Director Neeshan Balton says while it is a step in the right direction, details about the terms of reference and scope of the commission are required.

Balton indicated that although the President has now established the commission, it does not mean that calls for him to be removed would stop. He further urged the newly elected African National Congress National Executive Committee to heed the calls by Robben Islanders such as the late Ahmed Kathrada and Laloo Chiba and other veterans who have called for Zuma to step down. Click below for more on the story:
