The South African Weather Services says most provinces in the country will be experiencing heavy rainfall through out the day.
It says heavy thunderstorms could result in flooding in some areas.
The wet weather is also expected to continue on Tuesday.
Forecaster Victoria Nurse says looking at Tuesday most of the rain will fall over the central and Eastern parts of the country.
“We are looking at an 80% chance over Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, North West and Kwa-Zulu Natal. This is where heavy rain will be concentrated for today.”
She says going into Wednesday these areas can expect rainfall but not as heavy.
