Govt has ensured access to essential services: ANC KZN

Reading Time: < 1 minute

ANC KwaZulu-Natal Chairperson Sboniso Duma maintains that while there are still challenges, government has ensured access to essential services.

He was speaking during the party’s manifesto review to Pietermaritzburg today.

ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula is also in KZN to engage members and supporters, reflecting and taking stock of its achievements and shortcomings from the previous election manifesto.

The party has drawn most of its support from KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng in recent years.

Duma says,” In terms of electricity for instance almost every household has electricity. We had to deal with water piping almost everywhere which is why we have built more reservoirs. But there are still more things that need to be done because the population is growing. If you remember in 1994, we had a 37 million population, today we are sitting at 50 million.”
