EFF to continue to fight for ideals championed by Madikizela-Mandela

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says the party will continue fighting for the ideals championed by late struggle stalwart, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

Malema says the living conditions of South Africans have deteriorated and the cost of living has worsened.

The EFF leader has vowed to fight for a better life for all South Africans in Madikizela-Mandela’s honour.

This as some parts of the country commemorate her life on the fifth anniversary of her death.

Malema was speaking in Diepsloot, Johannesburg where the party launched its voter registration campaign.

“She must know, it is no longer where she left it – it is worse than that. Our people live with piles of rubbish that is dumped inside communities, councillors of the ANC passing those piles on a daily basis, sewer running in front of houses of our people, children dying in pit toilets and the standard of living is very expensive. Propelled by her spirit, we’ll continue to fight for a better life and a quality life of our people.”

Malema also says the party is forging ahead with its plans to unseat the ANC in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

This, after the Democratic Alliance said it would ensure that the ANC and the EFF do not form a coalition at national level as experts warn that the ANC may dip below 50%.

The DA has also declared the EFF as political enemy number one at its federal congress in Midrand, Johannesburg.
