The Democratic Alliance launched its manifesto in the Northern Cape and Mpumalanga provinces.
The party outlined its strategy in a desperate bid to unseat the ANC in the Northern Cape.

In Mpumalanga – the party played the corruption ticket, promising to uproot graft to create jobs.

Corruption is fast becoming the most popular word in the build-up to the 8 May elections. The Democratic Alliance (DA) launched its manifesto in Mpumalanga, promising to root out corruption in the public service.

The party told Kabhokweni residents getting rid of graft will create jobs for them.

The DA did not draw big crowds in Kabhokweni, but those who came to listen to the party’s promises made their demands clear for anyone who wants their vote:

“We want better roads, clean drinking water and employment. We are hoping that the DA will make it better.”

“The DA has to ensure they achieve the one job per family concept works.”

“The DA has done away with corruption where it governs. We hope it does indeed create the jobs.”

The DA prides itself with clean audits where it has been governing and that’s the card the party’s Makashule Gana used to try and convince voters to show their support come 8 May.

Mpumalanga DA Premier Jane Sithole says that the DA will do away with corruption and create employment.

“The DA will do away with corruption in government in order to accumulate money so as to create employment. In the province we will do away with mega and things like MRTT so that that money could help small businesses, in that way creating jobs.“

Similar DA gatherings are taking place countrywide.
