The Congress of the People (COPE) has applauded former Free State Economic Development MEC Mxolisi Dukwana for his bravery in exposing corruption allegedly committed by former Premier Ace Magashule.
Dukwana testified before the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture in Parktown, Johannesburg, on Tuesday.
COPE spokesperson Dennis Bloem says the damning allegations revealed against Magashule show that the Free State government was completely destroyed under Magashule’s leadership over the years.
The party is calling on present and former provincial MEC’s, mayors and councillors to avail themselves to appear before the Commission and assist in fighting corruption in the province.
