The High Court in Pretoria has sentenced all the killers of North-West businessman, Wandile Bozwana, to 30 years imprisonment each for his murder.

Mamelodi businessman, Vusi Khekhe Mathibela and his three co-accused, Sipho Hudla, Robert Mutapa and Bonginkosi Khumalo were convicted of the 2015 murder in June 2022.

They all pleaded not guilty. They were sentenced to an additional 10 and 6 years imprisonment each respectively for the attempted murder of Bozwana’s business partner, Mpho Baloyi as well as possession of dangerous weapons and ammunition.

The sentences will run concurrently.

Bozwana had been at loggerheads with the North West government over disputed contracts amounting to R30 million at the time of his death.

Bozwana’s brother, Benedict Bozwana says the family is happy that justice has finally prevailed and that they will find closure.
