Attorney for the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture Johan van Schalkwyk says they hope to file opposing papers against former President Jacob Zuma’s rescission application before the end of business on Monday.
The commission had until Sunday afternoon to file the papers against Zuma’s application to have his jail sentence rescinded.
Zuma filed his application at the weekend, insisting that the Constitutional Court had erred in its decision to sentence him to 15 months in jail for contempt of court.
In the interview below, Van Schalkwyk explains what is delaying their efforts to file the opposing papers:
