This was their fourth loss in their last five matches. Chippa and Black Leopards, are level at the bottom of the log with six points each, but the Limpopo side has a game in hand.

Chippa’s situation was compounded by Maritzburg United’s two-nil win over Kaizer Chiefs. Maritzburg is now out of the relegation zone.

Chippa’s coach, Dan Malesela, remains confident despite this setback.

“We don’t have to throw in the towel,  we have to work the signs are very good. I can say we open up people, we create chances, and if we can continue this way we will find joy somewhere.”
