Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter says they want to clinch victory against Libya in the 2019 Afcon Qualifier at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this weekend.

Bafana Bafana are currently joint Group E leaders with Libya.

The Meditarranean Knights are training at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Baxter says the current crop of young players come prepared with a strong mentality and intend giving the north Africans a real fight.

“Let’s win this game. This is going to be a tough game. So, I am not thinking if they win this and we win that, that’s not in my mind. My mind is about the game plan for this game, motivating players, making sure we don’t make mistakes of the past; making sure that we are in a right mental space and that mental space is not about thinking what will happen if we go to Cameroon.”

Baxter says Bafana Bafana will focus on the game at hand and not on the past.

“We haven’t qualified for anything for a long time. Let’s be honest, and people know, we see that we had a good start against Nigeria. We have got a game here on home soil and I don’t think we should look any further than this game; whether we have one foot in Cameroon. It will be a minute by minute and kick by kick.”
