ANC MP Fezeka Loliwe died in a car accident last week.

The African National Congress Women’s League, led by Communications Minister Nomvula Mokonyane, converged at Frankfort outside Bhisho in the Eastern Cape to comfort family of the late ANC MP Fezeka Loliwe.

Loliwe died in a car crash near Alice last week. She was the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Labour and also part of the Parliamentary inquiry into the SABC.

Mokonyane says Loliwe’s death is an immeasurable loss to the party.

“She is like a soldier who died in the line of duty and what is of importance is for us to come here to say to the  family thank you very much (for) providing this nation with a humble and selfless leader like comrade Fezeka Loliwe. Her  spirit will live among us and we are here because she made us become part of the Loliwe family.”
