Member of the African National Congress (ANC) National Working Committee are making their way to the East London ICC for a crucial meeting with the provincial executive.
This is the same venue at which the new leadership was elected in last month’s disputed congress that put in charge.
Monday’s meeting will hear complaints from the various regions, including a call to nullify the outcome of the congress on the grounds that the new executive was elected after it had been adjourned.
Delegates threw chairs at each other the congress degenerated into chaos.
ANC secretary-general, Gwede Mantashe, says only the NEC can decide the way forward.
