Thousands of delegates from across Gauteng have gathered at St. Georges Hotel in Irene outside Pretoria for the African National Congress‘s provincial elective conference.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver a keynote address on Friday. An attempt by the Ekurhuleni branch to interdict the conference was turned down by the High Court in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
The acting provincial party Chairperson, Premier David Makhura is standing unopposed for the position of chairperson.
In his address, President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to continue to preach the gospel of peace within all structures of the ANC.
