A suspect who was arrested for breaking into the world-renowned Ndebele artist Esther Mahlangu’s home is expected to appear in the Mdutjana Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga on Wednesday morning.
Simon Skosana (37) is one of the accused charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances.
He allegedly broke into Mahlangu’s home on March the 19th.
Skosana allegedly punched, strangled and tied up the artist, before fleeing with her safe.
He was arrested after a co-accused in the matter, Jan Masilela was found in possession of Mahlangu’s firearm.
Skosana is expected to apply for bail today.
