The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has officially launched the National Results Operation Centre (ROC) in Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon.
IEC Spokesperson, Kate Bapela says both the Media houses and the political party representatives will be stationed at the ROC to observe the voting and the counting process.
Bapela says they are more than ready to conduct the upcoming elections in South Africa.
“This is where all the elections events will be happening from the 6th of May, which is social voting and the 7th and the 8th of May, until the rest of the week right to where we receive the results on Saturday.”
“It’s a facility that will host the media, IEC, political parties and observer missions and any South African who is eligible to be accredited and come here. It will be an order of the day up until Monday the 6th.”
