The Freedom Front Plus’s (FF+) attempt to have the Black First Land First (BLF) party deregistered for the upcoming elections has been denied by the Electoral Court.
The court found that the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) had failed to publish BLF’s registration in the government gazette. This means that the FF Plus could object to the BLF until the registration was gazetted.
The FF Plus’s attempt fell outside the allocated time frame for objections of registered parties.
