5 suspects in the killing of two Limpopo businesswomen head to court on Monday

The murder trial against five men who allegedly shot and killed two businesswomen will start on Monday in the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo. 

The accused, including the husband of one of the deceased women, allegedly shot and killed Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane and Tebogo Mphuti in Polokwane in October 2020.

The trial, which has been set for twenty days, is expected to be concluded on the second week of February.

Among the accused is Stanley Leshabane, who was a husband of one of the deceased women, Mabusela-Leshabane.

Leshabane allegedly hired the four hit men to kill the women.

The accused are facing two counts of murder. Both the state and the defence are expected to call a number of witnesses.
