Over 300 arrested for various crimes in Limpopo

More than 300 suspects aged between 19 and 47 have been arrested for various crimes including murder, rape and business robberies in various parts of Limpopo.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says they were arrested during an operation conducted from Wednesday until Thursday morning.

Ngoepe says several items including, nine vehicles and 38 cellphones were confiscated.

“The continuous fight against any form of criminality by the members of the South African Police service in Limpopo is still gaining momentum. Their commitment around the clock, through operation Fiela, ensures crime is defeated with meaningful results. The intelligence Led Joint Operations comprising of various police units kept until on Thursday morning targeting the most crime infested areas. In all the clusters during this operation 397 suspects aged between 19 and 47 years were arrested for various offences ranging from murder,” says Ngoepe.
