Former Bosasa COO, Angelo Agrizzi says smaller companies without VAT numbers were created, and fake invoices to source money in paying off monthly bribes.

Agrizzi is continuing to give his testimony at the commission into state capture currently underway in Parktown in Johannesurg.

He says the fake companies would issue cheques which would then be cashed out at the bank. The former Bosasa COO says an estimated 80 people received monthly bribes from the company. He has singled out Bosasa chief accountant, Carlos Bonafacio, as one of those responsible for drawing up some of the fake invoices.
