A male pedestrian has been killed in a hit and run incident on the N2, between Riviersonderend and Swellendam, in the Overberg.
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says the incident occurred 23 kilometres outside of Riviersonderend on the N2, in the direction of Cape Town.
He says a passing motorist informed Swellendam traffic officers of a person lying on the shoulder of the road.
Officers responded and went to the location, where they discovered the man’s body.
