Parliament to resume operations

Parliament will resume on Tuesday with various committee meetings and ministers in the social cluster answering questions in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP).

Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa will be asked about how much has already been spent at the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Memorial House in Brandfort and how much is still required to complete it.

The Home Affairs Committee will also consider and adopt the terms of reference on the naturalisation of citizenship of the Gupta family.

The committee will also consider Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba’s letter on amending Section 34 of the Immigration Act.

Other committees expected to meet include the Justice Committee.

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane is expected to brief MPs on her office’s annual performance and strategic plan.
