Eastern Cape African National Congress (ANC) chairperson Oscar Mabuyane is expected to be sworn in as the member of the Bhisho Legislature on Monday.

Mabuyane became chairperson of the province after he defeated former chairperson and Premier Phumulo Masualle in a chaotic conference in East London last year.

He will be replacing Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Public Works, Nomvuzo Mlobile-Cingo who will be deployed as mayor of Port St Johns municipality.

ANC Chief Whip in the Bhisho Legislature Mzoleli Mrara has confirmed that Mabuyane will be deployed to the legislature.

We have decided with the speaker to do it 9 o’clock tomorrow in the Speaker’s office in the legislature,” says Mrara.
