Bafana Bafana head Coach Stuart Baxter is confident that his team will play well against Libya and qualify for the 32nd edition African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Cameroon in 2019.

Bafana will play their last qualifier against Libya in March 2019 and a point will be enough for them to confirm their place in 2019’s African showpiece.

Twenty-four teams will qualify for the African Cup of Nations.

Currently, South Africa is placed second in Group E with nine points after five games and Libya is placed third on the standing. The North African country needs full three points against South Africa to qualify for 2019’s tournament.

Baxter says with the spirit and determination that the boys have shown in the last two games he is certain about qualification.

“If we take the spirit and the determination in our game, if we take that against Libya we would be difficult to beat. We dominated against Paraguay; we dominated against Nigeria; those are two very good teams.”

Bafana and Libya played to a goalless draw on 6 September in Durban.
