The ANC national elective conference credentials have finally been adopted.

This comes after hours of wrangling Saturday on which branch and provincial delegates may vote for the next party leadership. The number of delegates at the conference stands at 4 776.

To win the elections, candidates need 2 389 votes.

On Saturday, the conference was supposed to nominate and elect the president, national chairperson, secretary-general and treasurer-general.

President Jacob Zuma was supposed to deliver a political report Sunday morning.

A special NEC meeting which was held to discuss the fate of KwaZulu-Natal and Free State Executive Committee as well as the North West’s Bojana region also resulted in delays.
