Two people have been killed in a crash on the N3 Durban bound near the Ashburton bridge. This after a container from a truck fell onto a minibus taxi.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Service spokesperson Robert McKenzie says 12 other people have been treated for serious to minor injuries. He says the highway is currently closed to traffic.
“There has been an incident on the N3 southbound in the vicinity of Ashburton between Pietermaritzburg and Durban where a container fell off a truck and landed on a minibus. Two people have suffered fatal injuries and paramedics have treated twelve patients at the scene for serious and minor injuries all authorities are currently at the scene currently the highway is closed.”
