Eskom says it is working towards limiting the risk of load shedding despite the power system remaining constrained.
Eskom has denied that it has applied to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) for R1.8 billion to pay performance bonuses as reported in a Sunday newspaper.
Eskom says it’s currently not load shedding, but power supply could be interrupted as a result of a local outage due to a technical fault.
Eskom says its systems are still highly constrained. The power utility says stage two load-shedding will continue until 23:00 on Monday night due to a shortage in the power generation capacity.
