Eskom says that Stage 4 load shedding will continue until Friday evening.
It says it expects that load shedding, at reduced stages, may continue into the weekend.
The power utility says it’s currently utilising emergency generation reserves to supplement supply.

Some generation units are expected to return to service today.
This, together with reduced weekend demand, could help to ease the supply constraints.
The load shedding follows the manual tripping of Eskom’s Koeberg Unit 1 due to the increasing temperature on the secondary side of the plant.
