Reading Time: 2 minutes

England have won the third and final rugby Test against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town. The visitors defeated the Boks 25-10.

The Springboks spluttered to a 25-10 defeat at a cold and wet Newlands on Saturday evening.

The Boks Coach Rassie Erasmus and captain, Siya Kolisi was disappointed by the defeat but happy to win the series 2-1 against the English.

Both Eddie Jones and Erasmus believe the Boks have the talent and ammunition to be strong contenders at 2019 World Cup in Japan.

The Boks had already won the series and it showed. Erasmus made five changes including Elton Jantjies at fly half who had a match to remember.

Even though the Boks won the series the defeat left a bitter taste. Rassie Erasmus  says:”If we lost the first game and won the next two it would have been better to win the series that way but when you lose the last one its six weeks before we play again.”

But Erasmus and his squad would have taken a 2-1 win before the series started.

Both England coach, Eddie Jones and Erasmus believe that the Boks have the talent to be contenders at the World Cup but players need to be rested and fresh and will have to manage with their workooad.

“It’s incredible the depth of talent you got here even though you got a lot of players overseas you still have good young players that done a good job of getting some wins.”

The Boks next match is in the Rugby Championship against Argentina on the 18th of August in Durban.
