Speculation is rife on what DA leader Mmusi Maimane will disclose at the party’s headquarter Nkululeko House in Johannesburg, on Wednesday. The much anticipated media briefing that was scheduled for 13:00, has been postponed to 15:00.

No details on the reason for the postponement have been disclosed.
The Federal Executive committee of the DA is currently meeting in the wake of the resignation of Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba. Whilst the spotlight is on Mashaba, it’s believed that the future of Maimane could also come under discussion.
Maimane was present at Mashaba’s resignation media briefing on Monday where the outgoing mayor slammed the DA accusing it of having being taken over by right-wing elements.
