African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa will visit the Thulamela Local Municipality in Limpopo on Saturday.
He is expected to take the party’s election campaign around Thohoyandou for the next two days.
Ramaphosa will interact with residents at Thavhani Mall. He will also be meeting with traditional leaders and faith-based organisations.
Top on the agenda of what residents of the Vhembe District mostly complain about is the lack of drinking water.
For almost ten years, the government has been struggling to reticulate water to various areas from the multi-million rand Nandoni Dam.
The dam is almost full but some locals lack water. Several tenders to reticulate were marred with allegations of corruption and poor workmanship.
Some roads are also full of potholes and residents at some villages are paving the streets without the assistance of the government.
