OneSA Leader Mmusi Maimane is pictured wearing the movement's t-shirt.

One South Africa Movement (OneSA) was founded by former Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane, who insists the entity is not a political party but a civic movement.

The movement intends to support, train, equip and campaign for OSA endorsed independent candidates in wards and municipalities throughout the country.

Maimane introduced a cohort of independents under the banner of the citizen-led New Horizon Movement to the media on Wednesday, 15 September 2021.

Maimane says he is confident that voting for an independent candidate in the upcoming local government elections is the only way to improve service delivery.

OneSA leader believes that communities will be better served by independent candidates instead of self-enriching politicians.

The movement’s short manifesto comprises of five main priorities mentioned in the document below:
