Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene has apologised to South Africans for not meeting the Guptas in his office or a public space.
In a statement, Nene further apologises for not disclosing details of his meetings with the Guptas.
The Minister says he deeply regrets lapses and begs for forgiveness.
Nene has welcomed an investigation against him by the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture.
Nene testified before the commission on Wednesday.
The EFF slammed his testimony, saying he did not completely come clean about his interactions with the Guptas.
