Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Eskom Parliamentary Inquiry Zukiswa Rantho has advised Montana to open criminal charges following his testimony to the committee.

Montana gave damning evidence against various prominent figures with business and political influence.

Among them were President Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane, former ANC Treasurer-General Zweli Mkhize and a number of business people who allegedly had links with the Gupta family.

Rantho told Montana that his testimony requires further investigations.

“These allegations are of a very serious nature and must be further investigated by the South African Police Service or the Hawks. Mr Montana it is also important that you do not leave the matter here but you make a statement to the relevant authorities who must investigate these matters further.”

“Further I would encourage you that in the event you receive any threats related to your testimony, please immediately contact the police.”
