The Chamber of Business in Musina, Joe Lukhele, says he hopes Zimbabwe's new leader, Emmerson Mnangagwa will bring economic change in the country.

The Musina Chamber of Business chairperson Joe Lukhele says he hopes Zimbabwe’s new leader, Emmerson Mnangagwa, will bring economic change in the country.

Lukhele says the strict trade laws that bar the importation of certain goods into Zimbabwe must be relaxed so that Zimbabweans can import basic goods from neighbouring countries.

“But we believe with the new regime change there are going to be some softening of attitude, so the new fellows that are going to come in they got to deal with that problem sooner, if not yesterday, of trying to make life better for the guy who is right at the bottom. I mean the Gogos are the ones who are driving the economy of Zimbabwe, who come across the border and buy oil, soap and try and sell across and sustain their people,” says Lukhele.
