A nineteen-year-old man is expected to appear before the Vryburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning, for allegedly hanging two school girls at Stella Hoërskool Hostel over the weekend.
According to police, the hostel matron found one girl hanging from the rails of a staircase in the hostel, while the other girl was found in one of the hostel bathrooms, with a rope around her neck.

Stella Hoërskool, is one of the schools in the Vryburg region used by the North West Department of Education as a venue for winter camps.
This incident left learners, parents and school management in shock.
Police say initially opened two inquest dockets. However, subsequent to thorough investigation, a 19-year-old man who is believed to be an ex-boyfriend of one of the two girls was arrested.
The suspect is said to be a former learner at the school.
The motive of the killings is unknown at this stage and investigation into the matter continues.
