The kidnapping and murder case against four people accused of killing a businesswoman and her mother has been postponed to October seventh at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.
Abibi Ahmid, Lazarus Mudau, Sophie Mmako and Lazarus Mahlo allegedly stabbed Lizette and Hettie Deacon at their home in Welgelegen two weeks ago.
Their bodies were later abandoned inside their vehicle near the R37 road outside Polokwane.
The four accused are facing charges of house robbery, kidnapping and murder.
Lawyers representing Ahmid, Mudau and Mahlo have withdrawn their services due to non-payment, they will now be represented by a legal aid lawyer.
Meanwhile, Mmako, who was a domestic worker of the Deacons, will appoint her own lawyer.
All the accused have been remanded in custody and police have offered a R250 000 reward for the arrest of the fifth suspect.

Murder increased sharply from April to June from 752 people to 1 753 as the lockdown rules were relaxed from Level 5 to Level 3.
The Western Cape had the highest murder rate, followed by KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
