The SIU says more than R6 billion has been spent and the court buildings are still not finished.

The court case between health NGO Ndlovu Care Group and the Limpopo Department of Health has been postponed indefinitely by the High Court in Polokwane.

Disgruntled patients from Moutse have taken the provincial Health Department to court, after it took a decision to no longer fund the non-profit organisation.

Lawyers representing the two sides will now have to find a way to settle the matter outside court. Community leader Seun Mogotji says they welcome the court’s decision.

“Actually for the fact that we have had this platform it is an achievement for the people of Moutse because if we did not bring it to court we were not going to have this platform we are happy that the two groups, Ndlovu and the department of health are agreeing and for a fact that we are given sine dine time it’s almost around three months,” Mogotji says.

“We are happy that this time the department of health will avail the plan, and the plan that will be assessed later whether they are meeting the standards.”
