The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education says it will dispatch teams to various schools to ensure that teaching and learning starts on the first day of the 2018 academic year on Wednesday.

Head of Department Enoch Nzama says text books and all required resources were delivered to all schools last year.

He says the department will also assist parents who have not yet enrolled their children for this year.

“We are hopeful and positive that when schools open on Wednesday everything will be in place and teaching and learning will start on the first day. We have also delivered all resources and is available to all learners. So we are confident that our preparations are on top,” says Nzama.
