The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) in KwaZulu-Natal has raised concerns about continuous disruptions to the processes leading up to the ANC provincial congress.

The Youth League was addressing the media after a Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) meeting earlier this week. The ANC’s Regional conferences in the province continues this weekend in preparation for the provincial elective conference due to be held towards the end of the month.

The KwaZulu-Natal ANCYL believes there is a group perpetuating disruption to the regional conference.

Provincial League chairperson, Kwazi Mshengu, says ANC members should isolate members who have intentions to destroy the party.

“There seems to be a well-orchestrated and funded effort by the grouping , the Gang of Suicide Bombers whose agenda is to frustrate any attempt and progress toward unity and stability in the province. They are also responsible for the propaganda that KZN is a no go area for the President of the ANC. And now they are more aggrieved because the President is working to unite the ANC and President has been clear that he is not the President of the faction, he is not the President for those who supported him leading to Nasrec conference,” he said.
