Newly-elected Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi.

Following his triumph before the legislature on Thursday afternoon, newly-elected Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi was given the keys to the province.

He went up against the Democratic Alliance candidate Solly Msimanga.

Lesufi received 38 votes from the legislature, while Msimanga received 22 votes.
