Four arrested in KZN for illegal possession of firearm

Police in KwaZulu-Natal have arrested four suspects in Kranskop in connection with the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The arrests were made during a multi-disciplinary operation in the area to combat the proliferation of illegal firearms.

KwaZulu-Natal Police Spokesperson, Jay Naicker says the operation was conducted at Shikishela.

“The operation was conducted at Shikishela, which falls under the Kranskop policing precinct. The team proceeded to identify homesteads where searches were conducted. A total of 7 seven illegal firearms and 79 rounds of ammunition were seized at various homesteads. The men are expected to appear in the Kranskop Magistrate’s Court tomorrow,” explains Naicker.
